A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox easily in case you have a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet surprisingly easy to use, and it will permit you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different mailbox with this feature activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with a few mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you will need to click on the sign with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling the feature can be achieved in the exact same manner and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a certain domain name, you’ll get a warning note. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
